Module Themes
Introduction: Welcome!

Gathering to establish relationship, form a contract, familiarise ourselves with the course content, key skills and concepts and set intentions for the journey ahead

Module 1: Respect in Relationship

Continuing to get to know one another we also consider how to relate to those we might meet along the way, using helpful models, personal experience and through sacred story of world faith traditions, particularly revelations of sacred respect and empathy.

Module 2: The Living Earth

How do we relate to the environment we are experiencing? We draw on personal experience and sacred story of world faith and spiritual traditions, particularly the words of Chief Seattle, ‘how can you buy the sky?’ to deepen into relationship with the sacred landscape and our place in it.

Module 3: The nature of the Journey

Don Juan said the only journeys worth making are on ‘paths that have heart.’ … Exploring through personal experience and through sacred story of world faith and spiritual traditions, the storylines, images, resources, maps and figures who inspire us and shape our sense of direction and purpose.

Module 4: Our allies

As we journey, we face challenges. Sometimes we find help from beyond ourselves – timely encounters with strangers, spiritual help and other synchronicities – and sometimes hindrance. So we deepen our awareness, through personal experience and through sacred story of world spiritual traditions, particularly faith stories of mystical help and guidance.

Module 5: Sanctuary

We are approaching the end of our journey and come to a sacred place, which for now remains a mystery.… So here we pause and relax and deepen into the mystery of inner wisdom, again, drawing on personal experience and world faith and spiritual traditions.
