I’ll start off by saying my life is a work in progress and have found the OneSpirit journey truly inspiring and challenges me to widen my theological lens to see the beautiful beyond the limited. I have always been interested in spirituality and what is being conveyed to me in my own spiritual practice and encounters with others. I have a background in nursing working in a number of specialities, trained as a counsellor and supervisor and continue to practice.
I am currently working as an NHS Chaplain in ‘sunny Scotland’ with a particular focus on staff care and wellbeing as well as on providing spiritual and religious care. In the first year of my ministry training with OneSpirit self-directed learning put me back in touch with my love of drama and comedy and have done a few comedy gigs recently. Always thankful for the grace and gifts I have received from the Divine.
The course has been a wonderful experience of connecting with like-minded souls and re-awakening my cultural heritage and love of Celtic Spirituality. It has been a tremendous privilege to work as a counsellor, offering a person-centred space for those to explore what I call the ‘root canal stuff’. I am looking forward to offering space and whatever that may reveal for you.
