Living and working in Oxford and the south of England, I’m an ordained interfaith minister, and long-time counsellor and educator.
My specialism is in deeply personal, meaningful funerals, as well as weddings, birthing and naming ceremonies, and dedications. My paid career was in writing biographies, television news journalism, and educational training; in tandem, I’ve been a volunteer “crisis counsellor” ever since my mid-twenties, and a part-time mentor and coach since my mid-forties.
I offer spiritual counselling – experiencing the Sacred alongside another in the presence of the Unknown. Working as an interfaith minister has always been a complete privilege, with its weaving in of different faiths and traditions, and offering nothing less than the Grace of God.
Dear Frances, Thank you so much for conducting the funeral service for M in such a warm and sensitive way. We were blessed with finding you and M would have been so very content that the service was such a family affair. It must be very difficult to make each funeral unique, but we believe you did that for him. It felt like you were a member of our family.
Thank you for your sensitive and understanding approach to our needs for J’s funeral on Thursday. It was so much the service she and we had hoped for, and made so special for the rest of us by your gentle approach in delivering, and drawing it all together. Thank you again, L.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you. What a beautiful [wedding] ceremony it was; I’m so glad you helped us towards writing our own vows and having tributes. It really was so special, something we will never forget.
