OneSpirit’s Student & Minister Community

Pluralistic

We are enriched by our pluralistic community, a tapestry of faiths, spiritualities, and philosophies. This variety of perspectives not only fosters deep learning but also nurtures mutual understanding and a shared commitment to coexistence.

Authentic

Our ministers and students are rooted in their truth, bringing their genuine selves to the OneSpirit community. This authenticity creates a foundation of trust and respect, encouraging everyone to honour their own unique path and voice while remaining open to others’ experiences.

Compassionate

Compassion is at the heart of everything we do. Our ministers and students embody empathy, offering support and understanding to one another and those they serve, guided by a spirit of kindness and care.

Go for it! The training is a complete inner and outer body exploration that makes you grow positively. The curriculum, I felt, was in perfect order of growth relating to all the faiths we travelled with and all the internal journeys of shadows, traumas and ceremonies where I grew from with the pace, space and order.

Stay with the course even when things are hard. Don’t give up. Stick with the daily practices, they are a saving grace. Keep coming back to yourself and find your own life philosophy. Also, don’t be afraid to remix teachings.

Our Student Body

Many of our students come to this training expecting to gain skills or embark on or further a career. What they discover, however, is so much more.
Alongside developing these valuable skills, they leave with a vibrant and supportive community that remains a part of their lives long after the training ends.
We warmly welcome students from all walks of life, embracing a wide variety of backgrounds, life journeys, and levels of experience.
Whether you’re exploring spirituality for the first time, deepening a well-established practice, or integrating unique professional expertise into a new context, you’ll find a home here!
Our training celebrates the pluralistic perspectives and rich life experiences that each individual brings, knowing that this collective wisdom deepens and enriches the journey for all.
Wherever you are on your path, your story, gifts, and aspirations are not only welcomed — they are treasured.

I’m based in Ireland. I love to be in ceremony, in nature, in stitches laughing… even all three at once if possible. I felt called to [the training]. I feel strongly that people from my intersecting communities deserve to feel welcome and connected and accompanied in exploring what faith can be for them.

I am autistic, trans, queer and highly creative, from an academic, scientifically-minded background, with my spiritual experiences woven through time spent in Buddhist, shamanic and mystical Christian traditions. The idea of Interfaith ministry really appealed to me as a way to help me figure out what an alternative ministry, that is open to learning and connecting with multiple faith paths and cultures, might look like.

Gina, Current Student

I am a curious open-minded seeker of what it is to be a human. It’s been an internal journey of self-inquiry to explore the many layers of complexities & parts to discover what is my ‘true authentic self’. With much of this curiosity surrounding that which cannot be seen, or fully explained.

Having undertaken a variety of spiritual training, together with a study of the psychological aspects of human development, I felt I wanted a platform from which they all could be somehow incorporated. On reading OneSpirit’s Core Beliefs this resonated with an opportunity for me to delve deeper into my questioning & bring all these fragmented strands of my learning into one cohesive whole.

Tony, Current Student

I am 59 years old and live on the Irish Coast. I have always enjoyed serving my community, and am involved in many volunteer roles. I have always tried to live a meaningful life filled with purpose and service. I keep myself very fit and play golf, squash, and run.

I enjoy connecting with other people, love playing music with friends and good food. [I have] a desire to serve my community in a deep and meaningful way.

Hara, Current Student

I am a shamanic sound healer, tutor for the College of Sound Healing and Transpersonal psychologist. I love to offer ceremonies for my community and run a weekly Sacred Healing Dance group. I feel more connection to Spirit, to the earth and our deepest soul selves is imperative to help our species protect the earth and to survive and thrive in the challenging times to come.

I decided to undertake this ministry training to widen my skills, expand my knowledge and experience and give me a better vehicle to serve the Divine and support people.

Claire, Current Student

I live in England with my dog Scooby where I work as a celebrant – mainly funerals – and I also have a holistic healing business offering Soul Plan readings, Soul Transformation Therapy, Reiki, and Qigong. I have one son and one grandson who I love spending as much time with as possible. I enjoy walking, reading, music and cricket!

I am a student of A Course in Miracles and part of Robert & Hollie Holden’s Everyday Miracles group. Hollie mentioned the course a year or so ago and I felt called to investigate further! After attending the online introductory meetings I decided it would not only benefit my work as a celebrant but also (and probably more importantly) my own ‘journey’.

Words from Our Students

Listening to the stories of my fellow students has been very humbling. Each one has gifts that they bring to the group. This sharing of each other’s talents is wonderful and enables me to reflect on my own personal story. Community is very strong for me, and our little community is precious.

Eileen, 2024 Graduate

It has been great. I have very much enjoyed working with all three tutors and look forward to the onward journey. I have found all three tutors to be very knowledgeable, professional and supportive in a very mindful and caring way. They do so in a way that shows compassion and genuine care for the well-being of students.

Paul, 2024 Graduate

I have become more aware of myself in different ways. I am seeing the importance of daily practices and prayer. My self-worth has increased. My understanding of the divine has shifted from being all light to incorporating the dark moments too. I have more in my toolkit for dealing with adversity. There is more compassion for self and others. I realised how my neurodiversity and past wounds drive some of my responses to the world and others.

Samantha, 2024 Graduate

I’m really loving the content, the pace, the loving energy and the warmth of everyone. I’m having so much fun, learning, growing, sharing and connecting with wonderful people. What’s not to love? I’m so grateful I found this course at this time in my life.
