Winter Solstice: An Online Ceremony
with Rev Jenny Miller
📅 Date: Thursday 21st December
🕒 Time: 6-7pm GMT
Join us on a transformative journey into the heart of the Winter Solstice, where ancient wisdom meets contemporary understanding in an exploration of the Universal Christ.
The concept of the Universal Christ represents a contemporary understanding of “Christ Consciousness” that transcends traditional religious boundaries. It refers to the divine and transcendent presence within everything in the universe. Unlike a narrow, exclusive interpretation, the Universal Christ is an inclusive, interfaith perspective that recognises the sacred essence in all of creation. In essence, the Universal Christ is the recognition of the divine spark, the sacred consciousness, present in every being and aspect of existence. It goes beyond religious dogma, inviting individuals to connect with a universal, unifying force that underlies diverse spiritual traditions. In the words of Franciscan Father Richard Rohr, it is the “transcendent within of everything in the universe.” Embracing the Universal Christ involves acknowledging the divine within oneself and others, fostering a sense of interconnectedness and shared spirituality across humanity. It offers a profound and inclusive way to understand the spiritual dimensions of life, encouraging a more expansive and compassionate worldview.
Cost: FREE! Freewill donations to OSMIC are gratefully received.
